Medical Receptionist

Pay: Starting from $17 per hour

Location: Peoria, AZ

• As a Medical Receptionist with Ortho Arizona, you’ll get to:
• Answer the phone in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screen and route calls as needed, create phone notes in the patient electronic medical record, and/or provide information to patients.
• Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart.
• Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder or uploading to the correct patient chart.
• Assist with other duties as needed during down time.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Excellent customer / patient service
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Working knowledge of computer programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding / performing training on practice management software
• Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
• High School diploma or GED (Minimum Qualification)
• 1+ year using an EMR with Mod Med / EMA experience preferred
• Modernizing medicine EMA EMR experience
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail

• At least one year of medical office experience
• Bilingual a plus
• Basic phone handling skills – Contact Center experience
• Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
