Fabrication Technician

We are looking for an experienced fabrication technician to join our team. The position focuses on modifying and fabricating prosthetic/orthotic devices, with a heavy focus on lower extremity.

• Work with plaster to modify molds as needed
• Experience with the different materials and componentry used in fabricating prosthetic/orthotic devices
• Experience with operating fabrication-related machinery (Troutman, etc.)
• Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use tools safely and effectively
• Ability to read and understand work measurement forms
• Effective organizational, time management and planning skills
• Good interpersonal and verbal skills for communicating with others
• Ability to work effectively as a team member

• Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds of weight
• Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday/shift
• Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to read work measurement forms
• Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand directions
• Adequate fine motor skills for using laboratory machinery
• Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws

• High school diploma or GED required
