Machine Shop Assistant

Full Time – Non-exempt:
Monday – Friday schedule to be determined

Reports to:

Manufacturing Manager

Salary commensurate with experience: $16 - $18

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

• Post-machining processing of parts, including use of processing equipment to clean and debur parts, hand tools for final cleaning of parts and general inspection of parts for good quality.
• Fill, Empty, and sort parts from small tumble and vibratory deburring machines.
• Bead blast parts and prep for outside finishing.
• Cut raw materials on a band saw.
• Deburr cut materials on belt sander.
• Assistance with facility maintenance
• Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and use of work tools, including but not limited to: micrometers, calipers, gage pins, rulers, computers, etc.
• Must be punctual and possess good work ethic.
• Detail oriented.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to repetitively lift 30+ pounds.
• Demonstrate good mechanical skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to understand and learn company terminology.
• Willingness to learn and improve skills constantly.
• Patience in stressful situations.
