You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. You will not be included on the posted weekly schedule but can pick up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.
Reliability and attendance are necessary. You must respond to attempts to contact you to confirm interest in shifts, and you must work at least one shift every 5 months or your employment may be terminated. You will attend Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule, after which you can use the myTime app to pick shifts.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Knowledge of in-store and digital services with a focus on driving adoption and loyalty. Roles include assisting with checkout, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive-up, while ensuring quality.
What we are looking for includes the ability to communicate effectively, resolve guest concerns, adapt to different guest interactions, and promote various benefits and services. Candidates should be comfortable with technology and able to help guests with Wallet, Target App, loyalty programs, and fulfillment services.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming guest experience.
- Greet guests and assist with their daily tasks; engage with guests to help solve their needs.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
- Explain and assist with Target Loyalty programs; assist with enrollment and usage of fulfillment services.
- Demonstrate how to use Wallet and other features in the Target App.
- Handle returns following register prompts and escalate to leaders when needed.
- De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience per Target policies.
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up, and related duties in compliance with laws (e.g., adult beverage regulations where applicable).
- Assist with Cash Office processes as needed, including cash systems management.
