- Two-year college program or equivalent combinations resulting in accumulation of similar knowledge or skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Two-year college program or equivalent combinations resulting in accumulation of similar knowledge or skills.
- 4-6 years of experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
- Valid Class “D” Driver’s License upon hire.
- EPA Universal Certification upon hire.
Hiring Rate: $34.48/hr - $38.57/hr DOE
Tell me more.......The purpose of this position is to support the maintenance operations of multiple facilities within the department, to include the City Parks and the Major League spring training complex for the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners. These operations include maintenance of all plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and electrical systems for parks facilities.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with:- Performing skilled preventative maintenance and repairs on all heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.
- Installing, troubleshooting and repairing components of electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems in complex, multi-site systems to component level.
- Commercial plumbing maintenance and repair.
- Working in a work-order-driven environment.
