. The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks candidates for a pediatric cardiology faculty position specializing in Pediatric & Fetal Echocardiology. The candidate will work primarily at OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois.

$230,000 to $313,933 per year

Position Summary

The candidate will join a well‑established team of 10 pediatric cardiologists, 2 pediatric cardiovascular surgeons, and 5 advanced practice providers. Clinical activities will include outpatient clinics, inpatient rotations, imaging, and participation in the multi‑disciplinary Fetal Care Center. Travel to outreach clinics is required, averaging about 1 day per week.

Clinical Activities

Outpatient clinics, inpatient rotations, imaging, and Fetal Care Center visits. Satellite clinics in the region. Travel to outreach clinics.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Patient care duties including inpatient, outpatient, and echocardiography
  • Satellite clinics in the region
  • On‑call duties for pediatric & congenital cardiology
  • Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Academic efforts including original research and QI
  • Imaging QI for Echo
Minimum Qualifications
  • MD/DO or foreign equivalent
  • Eligible for licensure in Illinois
  • Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology
  • 3 years pediatric residency and 3 years pediatric cardiology fellowship (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience or formal training in Pediatric & Fetal Echocardiography
