. The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks candidates for a pediatric cardiology faculty position specializing in Pediatric & Fetal Echocardiology. The candidate will work primarily at OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois.

Salary$230,000 to $313,933 per year
Position SummaryThe candidate will join a well‑established team of 10 pediatric cardiologists, 2 pediatric cardiovascular surgeons, and 5 advanced practice providers. Clinical activities will include outpatient clinics, inpatient rotations, imaging, and participation in the multi‑disciplinary Fetal Care Center. Travel to outreach clinics is required, averaging about 1 day per week.
Clinical ActivitiesOutpatient clinics, inpatient rotations, imaging, and Fetal Care Center visits. Satellite clinics in the region. Travel to outreach clinics.
Duties & Responsibilities- Patient care duties including inpatient, outpatient, and echocardiography
- Satellite clinics in the region
- On‑call duties for pediatric & congenital cardiology
- Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows
- Academic efforts including original research and QI
- Imaging QI for Echo
- MD/DO or foreign equivalent
- Eligible for licensure in Illinois
- Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology
- 3 years pediatric residency and 3 years pediatric cardiology fellowship (or equivalent)
- Significant experience or formal training in Pediatric & Fetal Echocardiography
