Assistant/Associate/Professor of Pediatrics (Neonatology)
Join the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria as a full‑time Neonatologist. The role involves clinical care in a full‑service 64‑bed Level IV NICU and teaching in an academic setting.
Key Details- Quaternary Care NICU: 64 beds, 700 ICU admissions/year, 2,300 deliveries/year.
- Level IV NICU: ECMO, high‑frequency ventilation, therapeutic hyperthermia, complex cardiac and surgical care.
- Multidisciplinary team includes APNs, Neonatal‑Perinatal Fellows, residents.
- Education focus: teaching opportunities for residents (Pediatrics and Medicine‑Pediatrics) and Neonatology Fellows.
- Active participation in the Children’s Hospital Neonatal Consortium (CHNC) database and research projects.
The candidate will provide acute and ongoing consultative care to neonatal patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and will be a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics.
Duties & Responsibilities- Provide acute and ongoing consultative care to neonatal patients.
- Participate in undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education programs.
- Engage in collaborative research and scholarly activities.
- Fulfill faculty duties including committee assignments, curriculum development, student counseling, and mentoring.
- MD/DO or equivalent degree.
- 3 years of residency and 3 years of neonatal‑perinatal fellowship in an ACGME‑accredited program.
- Board certification in Pediatrics required.
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Neonatology.
- Eligibility for licensure in Illinois.
- Enthusiasm for clinical care and teaching in an academic setting.

Compensation and BenefitsBudgeted salary range: $250,000 to $300,000 per year.
