Position Summary

Join the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria as a full‑time Neonatologist. We are searching for a Board‑certified or Board‑eligible Neonatologist interested in providing clinical care and teaching in an academic setting. You will be part of a physician team at a busy 64‑bed Level IV care NICU in Illinois's 3rd largest Children's Hospital.

About the NICU
  • Quaternary care NICU: 64 beds, ~700 ICU admissions per year, supports >2,300 deliveries annually.
  • Level IV: provides ECMO, high‑frequency ventilation, therapeutic hyperthermia, complex cardiac and neonatal surgical care.
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary team: APNs, neonatal‑perinatal fellows, residents.
  • Academic focus: ample teaching opportunities for residents and fellows.
  • Active in the Children’s Hospital Neonatal Consortium (CHNC) database network, contributing to outcomes‑based research, clinical trials, and quality improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide acute and ongoing consultative care to neonatal patients in the hospital and outpatient setting.
  • Engage in undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education programs of the Department of Pediatrics.
  • Participate in collaborative research and scholarly quality improvement activities within the Neonatology Division and Pediatrics Department.
  • Perform additional faculty duties: committee assignments, curriculum development, student counseling, and mentoring.
Minimum Qualifications

Board‑certified or Board‑eligible Neonatologist. Mid‑Senior level.
