**** Summary
* * The Dean of Arts & Behavioral Sciences (ABS) provides strategic and operational leadership for the Arts & Behavioral Sciences division. The Dean is responsible for planning, direction, and management of academic programs, faculty, and staff within the division; advancing educational quality and innovation; ensuring compliance with institutional and external standards; and supporting student success and community engagement.
The division includes transfer and applied programs in Architecture, Art, Communication, Dance, Drug and Alcohol Counseling, Education, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Mass Communication, Multimedia, Music, Psychology, Sociology, and Theatre, and the Performing Arts Center (PAC).
** Compensation for the Dean of Arts & Behavioral Sciences starts at $81,244.80 and is commensurate with experience.

** Provide strategic leadership for the Arts & Behavioral Sciences division in alignment with the College’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
* Administer departmental compliance with the faculty collective bargaining agreement, ICC policies, and state/federal regulations.
* Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administration to develop and implement academic and operational plans that promote student success, retention, and completion.
* Oversee scheduling and staffing of courses to ensure efficiency, quality, and alignment with student demand.
* Analyze enrollment, completion, and program viability data to inform continuous improvement and growth strategies.
* Support faculty in curriculum design, assessment, and innovation, ensuring academic rigor, relevance, and transferability.
* Oversee operations and programming of the Performing Arts Center (PAC) and supervise related staff.
* Develop, monitor, and manage division budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and effective resource allocation.
* Recruit, select, mentor, evaluate, and support faculty and staff in accordance with College policies and procedures.
