Job Description- Repair Process Engineer for the Expanded Mining Product Division.
- Focus on product salvage for certain parts and refurbishing them at a lower cost instead of purchasing new parts.
- Repair, reuse, and salvage components to reduce ownership and operating costs.
- Desk job with opportunities for travel to build relationships with Engineers and Supplier Engineers.
- Review salvage guidelines and make recommendations.
- Previous experience in expanding mining is a major plus.
- Military background is also a major plus.
- Mechanical engineering aptitude and background is REQUIRED.
- Need to hire ASAP.
- Bachelor’s Degree is acceptable, but previous work experience (preferably 5 years, minimum 3 years) is more important.
Technical
Skills:
- Strong PC skills, especially MS Excel, and MS Windows.
- Understanding of Service Information System (SIS).
- Knowledge of engineering practices: print reading, product structure, and engineering change processes.
- Knowledge of media authoring systems, including ACM.
- Green Belt certification is a plus.
- Degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Component repair experience (3+ years, preferably 5+ years).
- Metal restoration background, including welding and fabrication.
- Experience as a technical representative with understanding of metal wear principles and failure modes.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to cooperate with others and good interpersonal skills.
