Job Description
  • Repair Process Engineer for the Expanded Mining Product Division.
  • Focus on product salvage for certain parts and refurbishing them at a lower cost instead of purchasing new parts.
  • Repair, reuse, and salvage components to reduce ownership and operating costs.
  • Desk job with opportunities for travel to build relationships with Engineers and Supplier Engineers.
  • Review salvage guidelines and make recommendations.
  • Previous experience in expanding mining is a major plus.
  • Military background is also a major plus.
  • Mechanical engineering aptitude and background is REQUIRED.
  • Need to hire ASAP.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is acceptable, but previous work experience (preferably 5 years, minimum 3 years) is more important.
Qualifications

Technical

Skills:

  • Strong PC skills, especially MS Excel, and MS Windows.
  • Understanding of Service Information System (SIS).
  • Knowledge of engineering practices: print reading, product structure, and engineering change processes.
  • Knowledge of media authoring systems, including ACM.
  • Green Belt certification is a plus.
  • Degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Component repair experience (3+ years, preferably 5+ years).
  • Metal restoration background, including welding and fabrication.
  • Experience as a technical representative with understanding of metal wear principles and failure modes.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to cooperate with others and good interpersonal skills.
