Entry Level Electrical Engineer

Job Overview

Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to join our growing MEPS team in Peoria, IL. The engineer will be responsible for electrical design, BIM using Revit MEP, AutoCAD drafting, specification writing, trade coordination, shop drawing production, and code reviews for MEP systems across multiple projects.

• Produce electrical design documents for power distribution, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications systems.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and code officials to ensure design intent.
• Generate and review shop drawings, submittals, and construction site inspections.
• Assist in the specification and design of power distribution, emergency generation, lighting, fire alarm, and other technology systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
• 0-2 years of technical experience in electrical system design.
• Experience using Revit MEP and AutoCAD for design documentation.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated, well organized, and detail oriented.
• PE license preferred.

Projected salary range: $75,804 - $78,304 annually. Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and market conditions.
