About the Position
We have an opportunity open for an Engineering Detailer (full‑time, first shift) to join our team! The Engineering Detailer will detail projects that have been researched, developed, and designed by the Design Engineers within the Engineering Department. This position will also cross‑train into designing standard products, research, proposal drawings, 3D printing & 3D scanning. This position will primarily assist with support functions of the Engineering Department such as nesting, shipping paperwork, serial number plate stamping and inventory tracking.
Responsibilities- Detail prints in accordance to the Engineering Department's standards
- Will spend time on the production floor assisting with routing of paperwork and ensuring all paperwork is collected for the production department
- Using computer skills to run CAD software (Auto Desk), Excel spreadsheets (specifically pivot tables with conditional formatting), & other Microsoft Suite applications as needed
- Assisting the Engineering Department in efforts to maintain documentation on projects, procedures, processes, & equipment
- Stamping serial numbers onto plates for customer orders
- Operating a 3D scanner and computer technology to accurately obtain OEM measurement information.
- Mechanical, agricultural, or other engineering coursework
- 3D CAD drafting and/or drawing experience (Auto Desk Inventor a plus)
- Nesting or CNC machine experience
- Knowledge of blueprint reading
- Be able to recognize G-code on sight.
- Engineering technology degree, Associate's degree or some sort of Engineering coursework is ideal.
