Expected pay for this position is $31.49 - $37.05/hour, determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This is an hourly position with a 40% differential for weekend work.
Position SummaryPerforms routine and complex clinical laboratory tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment, assesses test accuracy, performs preventative maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and may perform blood specimen collection and training. Requires independent judgment, professional education, and certification. Must work 11 out of every 12 weekends.
Qualifications Required- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science.
- Successful completion of the ASCP or AMT Board of Certification CLS exam within the first year of employment.
- Alternative bachelor’s degrees accepted with successful completion of certification exam prior to employment.
- Maintain current certification as per certifying agency guidelines.
- Effective interpersonal skills for communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
- High professionalism and ability to perform under stress.
- Sufficient technical and clinical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues or handle special projects.
- 1-2 years of experience preferred but not required.
