Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour
. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

This position offers a $1.75/hour weekend differential.

Overview

Sign On Bonus Eligible! $2,000 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment.

Unit Overview

Welcome to Medical Surgical Acute Care! The Med/Surg acute unit cares for the adult and geriatric population. Some of the patient conditions you may see and provide care for include: gastrointestinal disease, blood stream infections, post procedural or post-surgical, pancreatitis, acute renal failure, pneumonia, congestive heart failure, asthma, COPD, urinary tract infections, infections requiring intravenous (IV) antibiotics, COVID, etc. New Mission Partners must display a positive and professional attitude and be adaptable to change.

Position

Summary

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed.

Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
  • CPR American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Experience
  • Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
  • Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
