RSA - Rehabilitative Services Associate

SHC is accepting applications for RSA – Rehabilitative Services Associate. Currently, we are looking for candidates for 2nd and 3rd shifts; full-time positions are available.

Candidates must:

• Be 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Have one year of direct patient care experience.
• Experience in long-term care, behavioral health, and/or geriatric health is preferred, but we are willing to train interested candidates.

Qualified candidates should be able to:

• Engage with consumers in a friendly, therapeutically appropriate manner, providing both formal and informal interactions.
• Assist consumers with activities of daily living such as oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, bathing, room upkeep, hair care, and nail care.
• Respond promptly to episodes of incontinence or other accidents, including bathing and obtaining clean clothing.
• Measure and record vital signs and other health indicators, reporting findings to the Health Services Department.
• Provide prompts, reminders, and escorts as needed, in accordance with individual treatment plans.
• Assist during mealtime with menu selection, considering dietary restrictions, and provide after-meal care.
• Monitor consumer behavior, especially around medication lines, and offer assistance as necessary.
• Support group activities and complete required documentation.
