• Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Includes approximately one Saturday morning per month (weekday off provided)
• Evening Shift: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Night Shift:
• Sunday–Thursday nights or Monday–Friday nights
• No on-call requirement

Position Summary

Responsible for preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a Pathologist. Duties primarily include cutting and embedding
, with potential for special stains based on experience. Ensures accuracy, quality, and compliance with laboratory standards.

• Perform cutting and embedding of tissue specimens
• Prepare slides for microscopic analysis
• Assist with special stains as applicable
• Maintain specimens, reagents, and equipment
• Follow all safety, quality, and documentation protocols
• Collaborate with Pathologists and lab staff

• Associate’s degree in a science-related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
• NAACLS-accredited Histotechnology program (or completion within 1 year of hire)
• ASCP certification (or obtained within 1 year of hire)
• Willingness to relocate to Peoria, IL

• $29.30 – $34.47/hour
• Sign-On Bonus:
  • 1 year: $2,500
  • 2 years: $5,000
  • 3 years: $10,000
• Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case
• Holiday Pay: Time and a half (if worked)
