Pay range for this position is $40.42 - $58.01/hour
. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Infection Prevention Analyst RN is responsible for monitoring, investigating and reporting infection-related information across the Ministry. This individual will investigate potential infections and notify the appropriate Infection Prevention Entity personnel of confirmed or suspected infections within two business days of identification. This individual will also work closely with the appropriate leadership within Infection Prevention and serve as a resource to the Infection Preventionists at the individual entities by providing subject matter expertise, mentoring and assistance as requested.

This individual will be responsible for timely and accurate reporting of infection information to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) and will serve as a subject matter expert in the infection definition and reporting requirements. Reporting responsibilities include gathering information, conducting analytical studies and summarizing surveillance data and findings for various internal and external reporting needs. This individual will also serve as a member of the Ministry Infection Prevention Leadership Council and participate in the development, review and management of Infection Prevention and Control policies/procedures and the annual Infection Prevention and Control plan.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Bachelors in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or related science degree

Other

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current certification or state license registration as an MT, MLT, or CLS
• Current certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC)

Experience:

• 3 years Infection Prevention experience

Other skills/knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Master's Degree in Nursing, Education, Epidemiology or related field

Experience:

• Experience with NHSN reporting and the Epic ICON/Bugsy modules
