Assist an interdisciplinary team in patient assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy/counseling, and discharge planning on inpatient behavioral health units.

Assist an interdisciplinary team in patient assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy/counseling, and discharge planning on inpatient behavioral health units.

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
• CPI Crisis Prevention Institute training
• Ability to use standard equipment and occasionally travel or drive for work

• Provide individual and group therapy to help patients meet treatment goals, utilizing CBT and brief therapies
• Facilitate group therapy sessions daily, ensuring interventions match patient diagnoses and age groups
• Document assessments, therapy sessions, and progress accurately and timely, following DAIR format
• Collaborate with the treatment team to develop, review, and update individualized treatment plans
• Assist in discharge planning, family issues, guardianship, and legal documentation as needed
• Maintain a therapeutic milieu, ensuring safety, de-escalation, and conflict resolution using CPI techniques
• Contribute ideas for improving patient care and communicate needs to supervisors

Demonstrates knowledge of relevant laws, safety protocols, and ethical standards. Serves as a resource for creating a safe, nurturing environment and supports team efforts in patient care and safety.
