Job Details- Valet Drivers – St Francis Medical Center
- Starting Pay: $15 per hour plus cash tips
- No experience needed
- Day shift, weekends required
The hourly base pay range for this position is $15 – $16 per hour plus $2 – $5 per hour in tips.
Work SchedulePotential schedule between 7 am and 8 pm; weekends required.

ResponsibilitiesThe Guest Service Associate/Valet is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner.
Duties include:
- Parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely.
- Assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pickup.
- Welcoming guests, using proper etiquette and phone manners.
- Providing information about facilities, amenities, and local attractions.
- Handling billing, claim checks, and revenue collection for vehicles.
- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients (25%).
- Use salutation of the day, welcome guests, practice phone etiquette; post in designated areas when not completing tasks (10%).
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assist guests with bell services and luggage storage (20%).
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries; deliver messages or amenities as requested (10%).
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures, issue and collect claim checks, manage ticket information, and calculate revenue (35%).
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state of employment, or within a commutable distance from that state.
- One (1) month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Ability to read and write standard English.
- Understanding of simple instructions, short correspondence, memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Effective presentation in one‑on‑one or small group situations.
- Basic math skills for monetary transactions and time calculations.
- Understanding of 24‑hour and military time.
- Familiarity with manual transmission (highly desirable).
- Perform parallel parking.
- Job follows established practices and procedures; decisions are made within departmental guidelines.
Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently to sit or stand for extended periods; may include running, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Additional Physical DemandsMay exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, or 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Majority of work outdoors, subject to extreme heat and cold; protection from weather may be provided.
