Attorney

James Kelly Law Firm, a well-established, multi-office civil litigation firm based in Peoria, IL, is seeking a dedicated, experienced Attorney to join our Peoria team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a commitment to client advocacy. This role involves managing a diverse caseload, appearing in court, and advising clients on a variety of legal matters.

• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, discovery materials, and motions.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
• Manage case files from inception to resolution.
• Negotiate settlements and handle dispute resolutions.
• Stay current with changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.
• 1–5+ years of legal experience preferred (depending on the role level).
• Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases with professionalism and efficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• Family Law, Criminal Defense, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, or Corporate Law.
• Experience practicing in Peoria County and surrounding jurisdictions.
