Job Overview

The Supply Chain Resilience Manager leads the identification, assessment, and mitigation of supply risks affecting Electric Drive Truck production and aftermarket support. This position develops continuity strategies for critical components and suppliers, with particular emphasis on single-source exposure, supplier capacity, long lead times, technical qualification, and disruption recovery.

The manager works across Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Service, and Program Management to develop qualified sourcing alternatives and ensure mitigation plans progress from supplier assessment through validation and production readiness. The position also coordinates the business response to significant supplier disruptions and provides leadership with clear visibility to material risks, recovery plans, and required decisions.

This position may supervise Sourcing Specialists and other assigned personnel.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the supply-chain resilience strategy for critical components, commodities, and suppliers.
  • Establish a consistent process for identifying, scoring, prioritizing, and reporting supply risks.
  • Maintain the supply risk register, including mitigation actions, owners, deadlines, escalation thresholds, and residual risk.
  • Identify single-source, capacity, tooling, process, geographic, logistics, financial, and lead-time exposures.
  • Develop contingency and business continuity plans for high-risk components and suppliers.
  • Lead cross-functional response and recovery activities during significant supplier disruptions.
  • Develop alternate-source and dual-source qualification roadmaps in coordination with Sourcing, Engineering, and Quality.
  • Coordinate supplier readiness activities, including capability reviews, capacity analysis, process assessments, tooling evaluations, and production ramp planning.
  • Ensure sourcing mitigations align with technical validation requirements, APQP/PPAP deliverables, first-article inspections, and production-release gates.
  • Evaluate inventory buffers, pre-buy requirements, alternate materials, logistics options, and other mitigation strategies based on risk and business impact.
  • Conduct supplier visits and assessments to verify operational capability, process control, capacity, and recovery preparedness.
  • Monitor external developments that could affect supply continuity and communicate material exposure to leadership.
  • Establish resilience dashboards and metrics covering critical-part exposure, supplier redundancy, mitigation progress, capacity risk, lead-time risk, and disruption recovery.
  • Support contract negotiations by incorporating continuity, capacity, tooling ownership, data access, notification, and recovery requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop assigned employees. Establish priorities and ensure accountability for quality, cost, delivery, and resilience objectives.
  • Protect confidential technical and commercial information in accordance with company requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements
