YourMission
As the Construction Manager, you will oversee the development of multiple distribution-scale solar projects across Illinois. Your role is vital in ensuring these projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with Renewable Acres’ high standards. You’ll manage construction crews and subcontractors, maintain schedules, ensure quality control, and resolve issues as they arise. This role is crucial in supporting Renewable Acres’ commitment to sustainable energy solutions while upholding our values of ownership, collaboration, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership
:
Oversee the development of multiple high-profile distribution-scale solar projects in Illinois. Ensure that all aspects of the construction process—safety, quality, and scheduling—are managed effectively. - Team Leadership
:
Lead and manage construction workers and subcontractors, setting the example through innovative and sound decision-making. - Schedule & Coordination
:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules. Ensure timely execution of tasks by closely monitoring progress and resolving issues proactively. - Work Process Oversight
:
Review work processes on a daily basis to ensure compliance with project goals, quality standards, and safety regulations. - Cross-Functional Collaboration
:
Work closely with teams across development, engineering, procurement, and construction, ensuring smooth coordination and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. - Quality Control
:
Maintain high standards of quality control, conducting regular inspections and addressing any discrepancies that arise. - Issue Resolution
:
Identify potential obstacles or delays and take quick action to resolve them to keep the project on track. - Field Oversight
:
Provide on-site management and support, ensuring all work is performed to spec and on schedule.
We know that no candidate will check every box, but we’re looking for someone who has:
- Industry Experience
:
At least 2 years of experience in distribution-scale solar projects, with a solid understanding of solar energy systems. - Construction Management Experience
: 3+ years of experience in construction management, ideally in the solar or energy sectors. - Education
: A degree in energy, engineering, or construction management, or an equivalent background, is preferred. - Leadership & Communication
