The
** Metal Treating Specialist Trainee
** program is a paid program designed to provide a unique learning experience for highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing and learning new skills. Positions may be available on all shifts after training on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks at the facility. Upon completion of the program, individuals will be responsible for:
** What You Will Do (including but not limited to)
*** Set up, operation and adjustment heat-treat equipment to perform carburizing, cycle annealing and die quenching of gears Physical Qualifications (With or Without Accommodation)
* Will work in environment that has extreme temperatures
* Work in environment with frequently changing temperatures
* Stand for a minimum of 8 hour shifts
* Frequent walking, bending, reaching
* Occasional stooping, crouching, and climbing
* Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling rotating
** Degree Requirement
*** High school diploma or previous work/volunteer experience
** Basic Qualifications
*** High school diploma or previous work/volunteer experience
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
* Basic computer skills
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to work overtime when required, including weekends
** Top Candidates will also have
*** Previous heat treat experience
* Previous machine shop experience
* Strong commitment to safety at all times
* Excellent attitude and willingness to learn
** Additional Information
*** Pay is $23.22 hr
* Positions are available for 2nd & 3rd shift in East Peoria Bldg. KK
* ** This is a supplemental position – minimum 40 hours per week with limited benefits available
*** Relocation is not offered for this position
* This position requires no travel.
