• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1990 - $2130
• Location: Peoria, IL 61637 (Central Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Nephrology – Medical Surgical (Med/Surg RN)
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am), 3 shifts/week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
• Charting System: EPIC EMR
• Orientation: 3 days with a preceptor

• Active Illinois RN license (or proof of application for Illinois nursing license)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• General medical background required; nephrology or urology nursing experience preferred
• Strong teamwork, communication, and dependability
• Ability to pass a drug screen (OSF is a Drug-Free Campus)
• Willingness to float to other general medical units as needed

• Deliver direct patient care to nephrology patients, including those with ESRD, AKI, on dialysis, transplant recipients, and general medical overflow
• Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 during night shifts
• Participate in bedside reporting and hourly rounding for optimal patient outcomes
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and patient care technicians
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Document all care in the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Promote a safe, positive, and patient-centered healthcare environment
• Comply with hospital dress code (any color scrubs; no artificial nails, visible tattoos, or piercings)
