Illinois Cancer Care is seeking a full-time Treatment Nurse (RN) to join our compassionate and collaborative team. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends or major holidays, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

As a Treatment Nurse at Illinois Cancer Care, you'll be part of a mission-driven team providing comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care. You'll work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and fellow nurses to deliver life‑saving therapies and support patients throughout their treatment journey. From administering chemotherapy to educating families and responding to urgent needs, you'll be a trusted partner in every step of care.

Responsibilities What You'll Do

As a Treatment Nurse (RN), you'll deliver safe and compassionate care to oncology patients by:

  • Administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other treatments with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Performing clinical procedures such as port flushes, dressing changes, injections, and catheterizations.
  • Assessing patients in person and by phone for side effects, toxicities, emergencies, and overall well‑being.
  • Supporting physicians with diagnostic procedures and reporting thorough nursing assessments.
  • Preparing daily treatment schedules and ensuring readiness of teaching materials and clinic resources.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized treatment environment and delegating tasks appropriately.
  • Responding calmly to emergencies and operating necessary equipment.
  • Triaging patient calls and collaborating with team nurses to provide timely support.
  • Traveling to satellite clinics 1-2 days per week to extend care across our network.
  • Maintaining professional relationships with hospitals, pharmacies, and community partners.
  • Staying current with education and obtaining OCN certification within 3 years.
  • Upholding HIPAA and safety standards in all aspects of care.
Qualifications What We're Looking For
  • Current Illinois RN license (required)
  • BSN preferred
  • 1+ year of clinical nursing experience
  • Passion for oncology nursing and patient‑centered care
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, emotionally rewarding environment
