Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with current Illinois licensure for a Med/Surg night shift assignment requiring EPIC and Level 1 Trauma experience.
Responsibilities- Position is based in a hospital medical/surgical unit caring for adult patients
- Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Uses EPIC charting system; EPIC experience is required
- Patient population includes those requiring medical and respiratory care in a Level 1 Trauma environment
- Responsible for initial assessment, developing care plans, and documenting nursing care accurately
- Expected to modify care plans as needed and implement nursing interventions according to patient and family needs
- Must report and address safety hazards and incidents to ensure patient and staff safety
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary team and active participation in peer development is required
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment
- Must not have been continuously on assignment with this health system for over one year; 6-month break required before returning after 1 year of service
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary license is accepted
- Minimum of one year of medical-surgical nursing experience required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting required
- Experience with EPIC EMR required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
