Job Summary: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the RN contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process. Responsibilities include promoting evidence-based practices, assessing patient status, developing individualized care plans, implementing interventions, evaluating patient progress, and ensuring professional accountability. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team, utilizes resources effectively, and demonstrates technical proficiency in equipment handling and patient care.
The role also involves patient advocacy, communication, and teaching strategies tailored to patient needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of applicable experience.
- Fluency in English (written, spoken, and comprehension).
- Basic computer knowledge, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web browsing.
- Multicultural sensitivity.
- Critical thinking skills and independent judgment in decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Illinois state RN license in good standing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
