American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Ortho unit position requiring at least three years of relevant nursing experience and an active Illinois RN license.

• Work on a Med/Surg Ortho unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, 7am-7:30pm
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
• Epic EMR charting experience required

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

• Serve as the primary caregiver for an assigned group of patients, utilizing the nursing process to guide care delivery
• Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
• Implement and modify care plans, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures based on ongoing evaluation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation for integration across the healthcare team
• Report and correct safety hazards to support patient and employee safety
• Participate in professional development by offering peer feedback and pursuing ongoing learning
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Candidates may not have been on assignment at Carle Health for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning
