American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Ortho unit position requiring IL RN licensure and Epic charting experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility.

• Work in the Med/Surg Ortho unit (6C) of a hospital setting
• 3x12-hour day shifts per week, 7am-7:30pm
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• May float to other Carle Health system hospitals including Methodist, Young Minds, Pekin, and Proctor
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of three years relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

• Serve as primary caregiver for an assigned group of Ortho/Med-Surg patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans
• Perform initial patient assessments and continuously evaluate and modify care plans based on patient needs
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation to support care coordination across the healthcare team
• Report and address safety hazards to ensure patient and employee safety
• Collaborate with peers and participate in ongoing professional development
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract
• Candidates with more than 1 year of continuous prior assignment at this health system must have completed a 6-month break in service before returning
