American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Respiratory unit position requiring an active IL RN license and EPIC charting experience.

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Respiratory unit
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm
• Three 12-hour shifts per week totaling 36 hours
• Rotating weekend and holiday shifts required
• May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

• Provide direct patient care including initial assessments, care planning, and continuous evaluation of nursing interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation to support coordinated care across the healthcare team
• Report and correct safety hazards to ensure patient and employee safety
• Support professional development by offering constructive feedback to peers
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO may not exceed 7 total days during the 13-week contract
• Travel partners are not accepted for this position
• Workers may not remain continuously on assignment at Carle Health for more than one year without a 6-month break in service
