Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for a designated group of patients and delivers care utilizing the nursing process, current nursing trends, and available technology
• Performs all duties and responsibilities specific to the scope of service on a Medical Surgical / Neuro unit
• Completes initial patient assessments upon admission and develops, implements, and modifies individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care to support integration of information across the healthcare team
• Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by identifying, reporting, and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents
• Participates in peer development by offering constructive feedback, collaborating with colleagues, and proactively identifying personal learning needs

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant registered nursing experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher
• Active Illinois RN License in good standing
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience in a Medical Surgical or Neurology inpatient setting
