Hotel Restaurant Dinner Cook at CUSA, LLC
Summary:
Complete required food and beverage functions, including setup, restocking, takedown, catering/meeting room support, and sanitation. Manage food inventories, par levels, order procedures, and guest grocery shopping.
- Cook, clean, and restock food and beverages during breakfast and meeting room times.
- Conduct weekly food inventory and ordering.
- Complete guest grocery shopping as needed.
- Maintain food and beverage inventory.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws regarding storage, preparation, and handling of food.
- Adhere to OSHA requirements and safety policies.
- Provide courteous and friendly service to guests and upsell featured entries when appropriate.
- Learn the food and beverage menu according to standards; communicate professionally with staff.
- Follow all safe lifting policies and procedures.
- Stock all storage areas and ensure cleanliness of public areas.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform duties in a timely and efficient manner to achieve position objectives.
- Maintain positive working relationships with other employees to promote a cooperative environment.
- Project a favorable image of the hotel to the public.
- Education:
Two-year associate’s degree or equivalent preferred. Local and/or state food service license required in some locations. - Experience:
Two (2) years of hotel or restaurant culinary experience.
- Minimal hearing required to hear equipment and timers; moderate vision to check quality and portions.
- Ability to read recipe cards and procedures; basic literacy required.
- Physical: lifting up to 70 lbs; pushing/pulling carts; regular standing and mobility; no climbing or driving required.
- Formal training:
High school or equivalent; minimum one year of food service or related work. - Certifications:
Serv Safe Food Handler (Preferred);
Serv Safe Alcohol Permit (Preferred).
- Inside 100% of the shift; restaurant/cafe setting.
