Overview

Summary:

The Sales Teammate position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Sales Teammates perform a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks assigned by Store Management (e.g., cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities).

Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $15-$16/hr the estimated range reflects base pay plus commission for Teammates in this position. Final offers are based on skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. Sales Generation and Guest Service
  • Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
  • Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs.
  • Anticipate and fulfill Guest needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobing experience.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and sales education to Guests and Team.
  • Remain knowledgeable about current sales, promotions, policies, and security practices.
  • Meet or exceed personal sales goals and contribute to the store’s overall performance.
  • Provide legendary service across front desk, sales floor, fitting rooms, and register area.
  • Assist guests with trying on or fitting merchandise and with checkout.
  • Prepare merchandise for alterations and manage exchanges/returns per policy.
  • Use the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) to achieve goals daily.
  • Develop and maintain guest relationships and a client-based business.
  • Remain aligned with Buckle’s customer service expectations and perform leadership actions as needed.
  • Engage in special orders or contact other stores to locate merchandise.
Teammate Recruiting, Training and Development
  • Identify recruiting opportunities and build relationships through guest loyalty programs.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful store floor culture.
Visual Merchandise Management
  • Present merchandise to maximize sales and turnover; stay current on product range.
  • Collaborate with teammates and guests for product improvements and feedback.
  • Keep sales floor properly sized and displays updated with new freight.
Operations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts as needed.
  • Open/close cash registers, balance cash drawers, and manage deposits.
  • Monitor security risks and follow Loss Prevention guidelines.
  • Know POS procedures and policy handling for payments, exchanges, and LP practices.
  • Perform merchandising tasks, freight handling, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and transfers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, shoppable store and provide feedback to leadership about merchandise handling concerns.
  • Communicate policy violations and concerns to Store Manager or HR in a timely, confidential manner.
  • Follow Buckle Code of Ethics and company policies. Complete special projects as assigned.
