Overview
Sr. Sales Leader - Growth Driver, Industrial Water Treatment role position focuses on growing business and driving Chem Treat’s market position within a geography or an industry by leading the creation, improvement, and implementation of innovative sales strategies to drive market share. The role primarily focuses on acquiring new customers while managing business development and growth through collaboration with Technical Staff and Account Managers to develop growth strategies.
The candidate should have experience with water treatment systems (boilers, cooling towers, RO systems, clarifiers, raw water and wastewater) and a background in technical water treatment.
- Familiarity with chemical water treatment systems and applications
- Provide analysis of markets, trends, competition, portfolios, technologies, and revenues
- Increase sales and profits by meeting targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars
- Retain existing customer base by fostering Chem Treat value certification and earning return on investment while actively generating new accounts
- Develop key relationships with customers: identify and engage key decision makers, prospect and cold call generation, frequent follow up, use strategic questioning, and address root customer needs
- Prospect and cold call generation of new customers
- Create and present effective proposals to prospective customers
- Communicate the Chem Treat value proposition to prospects
- Help transition new business to the account management team when applicable
- Entertain customers and prospects in accordance with Chem Treat’s entertainment policy
- Other duties as assigned
- Self-motivated with a strategic mindset
- Ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or equivalent
- Industry knowledge specific to water treatment
- Bachelors of Science;
Engineering or technical degree required or equivalent 7+ years of relevant experience - 7+ years of successful water treatment related experience
- Travel dependent on size of assigned territory
- Long hours and varied work schedules
- Extensive sitting, with some walking, standing, climbing, and other movements as specified
- Manual dexterity for handling objects and computer use
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and occasional handling of drums weighing 250-800 pounds
- Climbing stairs/ladders and working at high elevations occasionally
- Driving for short/long distances as required
- Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Reasonable accommodations available to enable essential functions
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where applicable
- Possible extreme heat conditions and high noise environments
- Outdoor and indoor site environments; potential exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Collaborative environment interacting with customer organizations

Compensation & Benefits (US Only)The compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 USD per year, plus Commission Pay. The role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) for eligible employees. The posted range may be modified in the future and actual pay depends on factors including education, experience, and location. No wages are earned until paid, and benefits are discretionary unless paid or vested according to policy.
