As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Peoria, IL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism. • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and authorizations in accordance with applicable site policies and post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, and unusual conditions, and maintain required equipment in accordance with post orders.

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
