Position: Maintenance Technician Associate
Shift: 2nd Shift
Compensation: $20 +$22 Shift Differential DOE maintenance Experience
The Maintenance Technician Associate is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within a facility. This entry‑level role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and assisting with repairs under the supervision of senior technicians. The Maintenance Technician Associate will help ensure that equipment, machinery, and systems run efficiently and safely, supporting the overall functionality of the facility.
This position is ideal for individuals eager to learn, develop technical skills, and grow in maintenance.
- Mechanical and Electrical
Skills:
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with the ability to assist in repairs and maintenance tasks. - Troubleshooting:
Ability to identify and report fundamental issues with equipment and systems, assisting in repairs or replacements as necessary. - Preventive Maintenance:
Support preventive maintenance programs by inspecting and maintaining equipment to reduce potential downtime. - Teamwork and Communication:
Work effectively with senior technicians and maintenance teams to ensure smooth daily operations. - Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe work environment.
- Assist in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts as needed.
- Support senior technicians in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures or malfunctions, learning to apply corrective actions.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment or machinery.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts used in maintenance activities.
- Respond to maintenance requests, performing simple repairs or adjustments as needed to ensure the facility’s smooth operation.
- Maintain and organize tools, parts, and equipment required for maintenance tasks.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations during maintenance activities.
- Follow and execute maintenance schedules, ensuring that all systems are inspected and maintained regularly.
- Ensure proper use and care of maintenance tools, machinery, and safety equipment.
- Assist with basic repairs, including replacing worn‑out parts, fixing leaks, and repairing electrical circuits.
