Job Description

A Roofer Performs Many Jobs
  • Applying hot and cold built-up roofing
  • Applying various single-ply roofing systems
  • Installing shingle, tile and slate roofs
  • Diagnosing and repairing roof leaks
  • Residential and commercial projects
Description

Our 4000 hour Roofing Apprenticeship Program allows students to complete their education while building hands‑on experience at a reputable Peoria area roofing company that has been around for over 40 years. The program follows the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum. Upon completion, you will earn your Roofing Journeyman credential through the U.S. Department of Labor.

This program combines on‑the‑job learning with evening classroom instruction. You will be supported throughout your journey. By pairing you with experienced professionals and collaborating with other apprentices, you will receive continuous support and mentorship to build you up throughout your apprenticeship.

Minimum Requirements
  • Possess a hunger to learn
  • Must be a high school or GED graduate
  • Understand basic math
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience using basic hand tools
  • Able to work in extreme weather conditions, both hot and cold
  • Able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Required to attend weekly roofing classes after hours (unpaid)
  • Required to work on roofing crew (paid)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior work experience in roofing or construction: full‑time, part‑time, or high‑school shop classes
  • College degree in construction management
