Position OverviewPosition: Maintenance Technician I
Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday to Friday 2- 10:30 PM)
Compensation: $20-$27 per hour
Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing basic maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and assisting with the repair of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems within the facility. This entry-level role is designed for individuals looking to develop their skills and knowledge in a hands-on environment, provide support to senior technicians, and help ensure the optimal functionality of equipment and machinery. The Maintenance Technician assists with routine maintenance activities, responds to maintenance requests, and performs corrective tasks under the supervision of senior maintenance staff.
Requirements- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards
· Basic Technical
Skills:
Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks such as inspections, repairs, and installations on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
· Troubleshooting:
Ability to identify basic mechanical and electrical issues and elevate more complex issues to senior technicians.
· Preventive Maintenance:
Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures, focusing on performing scheduled inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
· Safety Awareness:
Familiarity with workplace safety protocols, including OSHA regulations, and the ability to adhere to safety standards during maintenance work.
· Communication
Skills:
Strong communication skills for reporting issues, following instructions, and collaborating with team members and supervisors.
· Attention to Detail:
Ability to follow detailed work orders and checklists to ensure accurate and effective maintenance.
· Teamwork:
Ability to work well within a team, assist senior technicians, and learn from more experienced professionals.
· Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating machinery, equipment, and systems.
· Assist in troubleshooting basic mechanical and electrical issues under the guidance of senior technicians.
· Follow preventive maintenance schedules to inspect and identify issues before they result in equipment failures.
· Responding to maintenance requests, performing repairs, or reporting issues to senior technicians as required.
· As needed,
