Expected pay for this position is $21.72 - $25.55/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician II performs a wide range of intermediate to advanced maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks that support the safe and reliable operation of healthcare facilities. Working under limited supervision, this role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting building systems—including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety components to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards. The Maintenance Technician II demonstrates a higher level of technical competence and problem-solving ability than a Technician I, performing complex work independently while supporting skilled trades and contractors with system installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
This position plays an active role in sustaining the organization’s Environment of Care by maintaining operational integrity, safety, and comfort in all patient care and support areas, consistent with the requirements of authorities having jurisdiction.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years of related experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC maintenance and/or carpentry systems repair; OR 2 years of technical training or education in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry systems.
- Licensure/ Certification: IL Driver's License
