THE ROLE We're hiring a Fire Systems Technician Apprentice for an entry-level technical position that provides training and experience in fire alarm systems, kitchen and special hazard fire suppression systems, sprinkler systems, portable fire extinguishers, and more. Ability to comply with Getz Fire Equipment’s drug and alcohol policy, including abstaining from marijuana, as this is a safety-sensitive position. A post-employment physical and drug test are required.

SCHEDULE & TRAININGThis is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, typically between the hours of 7 and 5. In some instances, overnight work will be required as needed. Training is provided on all equipment. This is an entry-level position with a starting pay range of $17–$19/hr., with potential opportunities for growth within the company within the first three to six months.

Paid Time Off — 10 days of PTO in your first year, growing with tenure to 20 days at 20 years of service (includes Illinois Paid Leave).Paid Holidays — Eight paid holidays:
New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.
