Pay for this position is $16.83/hour. This is an Hourly position.
OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY: The PACE Driver is responsible for safely transporting the OSF PACE participants to designated locations within a specified market.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/ GED
- 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population or, if the individual has less than 1 year of experience but meets all other requirements.
- Must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization on working with a frail or elderly population upon hiring.
- Valid and properly classified driver’s license issued by the secretary of state with 7 years of prior to the date of application.
- Good driving record.
- J05 driver's license classicfication prior to start of driver duties.
- BLS CPR card through American Heart Association.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Has demonstrated the ability to exercise reasonable care in the safe operation of a motor vehicle which will be utilized to transport persons in accordance with such standard as the Secretary of State prescribe including a driving test in such motor vehicle ,and as such, is insurable by OSF Health Care carriers.
- Has not been convicted of any of the following offenses within 3 years of the date of application:
Sections 11-401 (leaving the scene of a traffic accident involving death or personal injury), 11-501 (driving under the influence), 11-503 (reckless driving, 11-504 (drag racing), and 11-506 (street racing) of this Code, or Section 9-3 (manslaughter or reckless homicide) and 12-5 (reckless conduct arising from the use of a motor vehicle) of the Criminal Code of 1961 or the Criminal Code of 2012.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous driving work experience.
- Previous experience transporting the elderly or people with disabilities.
