Material Handler, Forklift Operator
Summary
The Order Filler II is responsible for picking orders to carts and pallets in accordance with customer specifications while maintaining quality, accuracy, and speed. Comfort at 20 feet of elevation is required, as daily tasks include movement of material throughout the warehouse using a counter‑balance forklift, order picker, and overhead crane. Entry of material into the computer system (via handheld scanners) for tracking, as well as email communication, requires basic computer knowledge.
The Order Filler II will maintain a safe and clean work area by cleaning as needed.
Job Duties
- Moves material to various locations within the warehouse.
- Ensures proper material handling to meet quality standards.
- Enters material into the computer.
- Utilizes overhead crane operation.
- Operates (and becomes certified for) a counter‑balance forklift and order picker.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience operating a counter‑balance forklift is required. Will complete sit‑down/cherry picker power industrial truck training upon hire.
