General Laborer - Seasonal

Description

The General Laborer will be responsible for carrying out the day‑to‑day duties of the production lines, including various manual labor tasks. In addition to production line work, General Laborers may be asked to sweep or clean shop floors, assemble cardboard boxes, move materials and supplies, and perform other tasks to support shop‑floor operations as assigned by the shift supervisor for Osmundson Mfg.

• Participate in the completion of production processes such as setups, line runs, painting and packing, general warehousing, cleaning, basic quality control, operating equipment as required, and assisting other departments as requested.
• Monitor company safety under the direction of the supervisor.
• Provide support to the production line lead to keep employees informed on matters that affect successful performance and quality.
• Ensure all activity related to this role is accomplished ethically.
• Maintain records and files in good order, ensuring safekeeping and confidentiality of all company records, including computer information.
• Maintain the working area in a neat, orderly, and hazard‑free condition.
• Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

• Minimum 6 months of employment experience.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work on‑site.
• Ability to understand basic English to react to demands on a factory floor.
• Full range of body movements including walking, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending, and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred but not required.
