Assistant Accountant – Operational Finance

Pay Range: $55,000.00/yr – $65,000.00/yr

Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to support financial decision‑making by meticulously collecting, analyzing, and reporting data. This role is pivotal in ensuring inventory integrity and supporting financial processes.

• Lead and conduct daily cycle counts on various materials to maintain high inventory accuracy.
• Analyze discrepancies and recommend preventative measures through root cause analysis.
• Record inventory changes and manage data within the ERP system.
• Evaluate ERP transactions to resolve discrepancies and maintain cost information.
• Prepare and distribute monthly reports on scrap and inventory, maintaining comprehensive cost files.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and analyze results and variances.
• Support month‑end and year‑end processes, including financial statement preparation.
• Maintain and prepare standard costs for current and future budgets.
• Engage in additional projects to enhance inventory accuracy and accounting.

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Windows; experience with ERP systems like Epicor preferred.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Effective communicator, capable of interfacing with various organizational levels and external customers.
• Self‑motivated and adaptable to dynamic environments.
