Global Head of Corporate Accounting and Taxes Venteon is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Head of Corporate Accounting and Taxes to join our client's finance team located in Perrysburg, Ohio.

Requirements of the Global Head of Accounting and Taxes:

A bachelor s degree in accounting, finance
Active CPA license
A minimum of 8 years of professional accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS and applicable financial reporting standards is critical.
Ability to advise on global tax matters including the consolidated global return
Understanding of transfer pricing strategies alongside external third-party specialists
Excellent analytical skills are needed to interpret complex data and to identify trends
Strong organizational and time management skills
Leadership and team management abilities
Experience with financial consolidation systems like Hyperion, One Stream, or SAP BPC is highly valued

Responsibilities of the Global Head of Accounting and Taxes:

Financial Reporting & Compliance Audit Oversight:
Lead internal and external financial statement audit processes, maintaining direct relationships with auditors to ensure successful engagement completions.
GAAP Leadership:
Ensure the uniform application of sound accounting and US GAAP principles globally, executing technical memos when complex issues arise.
Financial Closings:
Participate in the standard six-day accounting close by reviewing financial statement reporting and annual consolidated financial statements.
Internal Controls:
Establish, review, and maintain internal control procedures while training the broader finance team on GAAP policies.
Executive Support:
Support the CFO during Audit Committee reviews of financial statements and internal control structures.

Global Operations & Scalability:

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with global teams to build scalable operational processes, including ERP system integrations, M&A activities, foreign exchange/investment accounting, and international accounting alignment.
Balance Sheet Reviews:
Participate in frequent balance sheet reviews and forecast initiatives across all regional Business Units.
Entity Management:
Maintain regulatory compliance across all entities, manage holding company statutory requirements, and lead global entity set-ups in alignment with the Corporate Secretary.
Process Automation:
Proactively drive process improvement and automation initiatives (e.g., equity accounting) to optimize day-to-day operations and accelerate reporting timelines.

Taxation Strategy:

Tax Advisory:
Advise on and review global tax matters, including the consolidated global return, pass-through implications, and related international tax issues.
Transfer Pricing:
Oversee transfer pricing arrangements and strategies alongside external third-party specialists.
Tax Optimization:
Collaborate with internal and external sources to uncover and leverage tax savings opportunities.
