Physical Therapist - Physical Therapy - Perrysburg Hospital - PRN
Mercy Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to join the Perrysburg Hospital - PRN team. This role supports patients across the continuum of care, including outpatient, inpatient, pediatrics, and off-site locations, providing skilled therapeutic interventions and assignments in alignment with current practice standards.
Responsibilities- Evaluate patients and gather pertinent information to develop and revise treatment plans with specific goals; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Provide direct therapy to patients daily according to the plan of care and current standards of physical therapy practice; instruct patients and families in therapeutic procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment, patient progress, coordination of services, orders, and goals in the electronic medical record; provide co-signature for supervised physical therapy assistants when applicable.
- Maintain productivity while ensuring quality of care; deliver efficient and effective services that meet department standards.
- Adhere to departmental policies on safety, infection control, time-off requests, and timecard recording; complete required education and annual compliance requirements.
- Supervise the physical therapy assistant’s treatment interventions and professional growth.

Qualifications- Education:

Certifications:- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice or meet qualifications for traineeship or temporary license (required)
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred at hire; required within 30 days for BSMH; required at hire for RSFH)
- Experience:
2 years in an equivalent setting (preferred) - Skills & Abilities:
- Age-specific standards and guidelines for pediatric to geriatric patients
- General computer skills (data entry, word processing, email, records management)
- Analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to evaluate patient condition, progress, and needs
- Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with coworkers, physicians, patients, and families
