Schedule:
Monday‑Friday – 2nd shift – (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) - Industry Leader: Enjoy working with a leader in the industry due to superior service, high‑quality products, and competitive pricing.
- Direct and manage 2nd shift plant operations for Production and Warehouse
- Reporting directly to the Operations Plant Manager
- Meet daily production goals.
- Coordinate plant shift activities to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished with quality in a safe, timely, and cost‑effective manner
- Accountability for ensuring a safe working environment and model safe working practices
- Lead and manage our 2nd shift team;
Provide guidance, training, and support to maximize their performance. Responsible for hiring, employee development, and performance management. - Manage and coach employees to ensure that they are meeting standards and completing tasks in a timely manner
- Input and monitoring of product reworks
- Control and minimize overtime, and repair/re‑work expenses
- Lead shop floor safety, organization, and housekeeping
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during a shift
- Complete all company safety and job training
- Maintain safety compliance
- Reduce rework percentage
- Improve shift efficiency
- High school diploma/GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management or engineering desired
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in managing teams in a manufacturing environment
- Willingness to learn counter top fabrication processes and consistently drive strong performance during assigned shift
- Eager to learn the counter top fabrication workflow and take ownership of shift productivity and quality
- Demonstrated problem‑solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Well‑developed leadership abilities, including excellent communication skills, ability to manage conflict, strong decision‑making, and commitment to training and developing your operations team.
- Ability to learn new software systems, proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Valid Driver’s License required
Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing environment where exposure to heat, cold and wet floors, and surfaces.
The employee will be exposed to airborne particles and wet or dusty conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Requires walking, standing, stretching, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting for prolonged periods, lifting up to 70 lbs.
Requires good physical dexterity and eye and hand coordination to operate tools.
Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
