As a Technician Development Academy Intern Trainee in Heavy Equipment, you’ll train hands‑on with the best in the business — servicing the powerful equipment that keeps America moving.

- Program alternates weekly between one of our Ohio Cat training facilities (Cleveland or Columbus) and your home shop.
- ~640 hours of hands‑on training on Caterpillar heavy equipment.

- CAT System Fundamentals
- Safety & Rigging
- Machine Familiarization
- Electrical 1 & 2
- Powertrain 1 & 2
- Engines 1 & 2
- Hydraulics 1 & 2
- Air Conditioning
- Applied Failure Analysis
- Preventive Maintenance
- And MORE
- Learn to service and repair Caterpillar heavy equipment.
- Master the basics of engines, electrical systems, and welding.
- Collaborate with expert technicians and serve real customers.
- Build a foundation for a lifelong career with a global leader.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude and a passion for hands‑on work.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
- $25.00 per hour, paid training program

Frequent movements requiring hands, wrists, and fingers - Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
