Once trained will move to $21.70 an hour (2nd Shift will get $1.50 shift premium)

General
Summary:
The Shipping associate is responsible for unloading packaged product off the line and properly stacking them on pallets; lifting freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights; safely operate heavy equipment; safely walk, reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat & kneel as necessary to perform the job duties. Properly stage, store and handle material in the appropriate areas and complete paperwork with attention to detail.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Receive product, stack product correctly on pallet in a timely manner.
- Place material in proper storage locations and secure in accordance with safe storage, stacking, or palletizing methods.
- Ensure EVA WIP area is clean, organized and stocked appropriately.
- Safely operate forklift and warehouse equipment at all times.
- Ability to interface with and use computer, scanner, shipping software, as well as a random automatic case sealer.
- Able to work a flexible schedule and as many as 12 hours in a day, including any of the shifts (day, evening, night and weekend).
- Prompt daily attendance at assigned work location.
- Requires skill and ability to work in the warehouse, storing/ pulling and checking in material.
- Locate and stage material for delivery by company truck or for pickup by customers.
- Consolidate, organize, and manage pallet storage on site. Stage and wrap Supplier boxes for return to the supplier.
- Periodically examine stored material and report any deterioration or damage.
- Maintain warehouse in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
- Able to lift extremely heavy in rare instances (up to 80 pounds), awkward products to store in or remove from the warehouse, or load and unload onto a truck.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills And Abilities
- Positive can-do attitude.
- Be able to successfully pass a Valid OSHA approved forklift certification (company training provided). Must be able to operate a forklift and hand jack.
- Experience operating a forklift preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Plant, and outside environments on occasion.
- Reports to Warehouse Supervisor.
- Interacts and partners regularly with other departments, vendors, and customers.
