Position: Responsible Welding Coordinator

UP TO £65,000 PER YEAR - EARLY FINISH EVERY FRIDAY

Our client, a manufacturer based in Pershore
, is looking to recruit an experienced Responsible Welding Coordinator to join their growing team.

This position offers long-term career development and the opportunity to work on high-profile engineering projects within a highly regulated environment.

Shift Pattern
  • Monday - Thursday: 07:45 - 17:15
  • Friday: 07:45 - 13:00
Pay Rate
  • £26.44-£31.25 Per Hour
Duties Include
  • Developing, qualifying and maintaining WPS and WPQR documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 3834, EN 15085 and DIN 2303 standards
  • Coordinating pre, interim and post-weld inspection activities
  • Maintaining welding personnel competency records and training matrices
  • Supporting technical reviews and production planning activities
  • Conducting welding audits, inspections and compliance assessments
  • Monitoring KPI performance and investigating non-conformances
  • Supervising welding personnel during complex fabrication activities
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, Kaizen and 5S
  • Auditing subcontractor welding capabilities where required
Requirements
  • CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector qualification
  • HNC or higher qualification in Fabrication & Welding or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar welding coordination role
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and EN 15085
  • Experience developing and implementing welding procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
Desirable Qualifications
  • International Welding Engineer (IWE) or International Welding Technologist (IWT)
  • Incorporated Engineer (IEng)
  • Lean Six Sigma qualification
  • Experience with in Defence, Rail or Automotive sectors
